with white ground painted in cobalt-blue, green and bole-red with a pattern of scrolling sax leaves and rosettes separated with Chinese cloud bands.

A similar pattern with this intense bole red and undulating Chinese clouds are located in the domed ante-room to the Has Oda of Murad III (1579) at the Topkapi Saray Palace (Roger, 1988, p.32, fig. 62-64). Other panels and single tiles of this design are in museums across the world. A single tile is in the Metropolitan Museum of Art (Ekhtiar, et al., 2011, no.218A, p.209); and a panel is in the Gulbenkian Museum (Calouste Gulbenkian Museum Catalogue, Lisbon, 1982, no.119, p.191).
